| MEEC’s Environmental STEM Mini Grant Program is now accepting applications!Teachers can apply for funding to support classroom projects that connect STEM learning with real-world environmental topics.What can you fund? Think materials and supplies that help students explore, investigate, build, test, create, and solve environmental challenges!Projects must include: An environmental connection or correlation, and align to current curriculum standards Ideas might include: Environmental science investigations Water conservation projects Recycling & waste reduction activities Renewable energy projects Hands-on environmental experiments Energy efficiency activities Climate, air quality, soil, water, or ecosystem investigations …and YOUR creative STEM ideas!Typical Grant Awards: $500–$800 Grant funds cannot be used for labor, food, transportation, or entrance fees. Awards may be higher; individual award amounts are determined by MEEC.Who can apply? Teachers working in classrooms located in the High Desert portion of San Bernardino County, Antelope Valley, or Palo Verde Valley of Riverside County.
