“Watts” up with your energy

Join us at the award-winning High Desert Power Project in Victorville for an evening of collaborative learning, food, and fun! 

High Desert Power Project has a generation capacity of 830 Mega Watts of electrical power, enough to power 830,000 homes!  Awarded Power Magazine’s 2003 “ Power Plant of the Year” Award for its innovative approach to project partnerships, air emissions offsetting and water management. the plant continues to expand its environmental stewardship though advanced technology that drastically reduces air emissions and water consumption.

Attendees will be given a special behind-the-scenes peak at the basics of energy production, learn the difference between power and energy, and how the plant is continuing to expand its environmental stewardship.
