“WATT’s Cooking?”

FREE Teacher Workshop, Tour and Clean Powered BBQ!

Attention  Educators of Grades 3-12

Join us at the award-winning High Desert Power Project in Victorville for an evening of collaborative learning, food, and fun ! Learn the fascinating basics of energy production while touring the High Desert Power Project!

High Desert Power Project is a combined cycle plant with a generation capacity of 830 Mega Watts of electrical power, enough to power 830,000 homes!  Awarded Power Magazine’s 2003 “ Power Plant of the Year” Award for its innovative approach to project partnerships, air emissions offsetting and water management, the plant continues to expand its environmental stewardship though advanced technology that drastically reduces air emissions and water consumption.

In addition to  receiving standards– based energy curriculum, attending educators will each be entered into a drawing for the chance to win a clean, renewable energy kit bundle.  Valued at $450, the bundle includes: Wind Energy Kit, Hydro Energy Kit, Fuel Cell Car, Working Solar Oven and Photovoltaic Cell Kit!
