MEEC and the Mojave Desert Air Quality Management District are hosting their first Introductory/ “How To” Workshop for their annual Solar Oven Cook-Off Challenge!
This two-hour workshop for educators of grades 4-12 is designed to prepare Solar Oven Cook– Off Challenge team advisors to work with their students in constructing working solar ovens and high quality recipes for the annual event. The Solar Oven Cook-Off competition is for High Desert students in grades 4-12, working as teams of 2-5 students to design and build solar ovens. At the Solar Oven Cook-Off, teams demonstrate the performance of their solar ovens by creating a unique recipe for the competition.
