From Waste to Gas: All About Biogas Energy

Victor Valley Wastewater Reclamation Authority presets “From Waste to Gas:  All About Biogas Energy” a FREE teacher workshop!!!

Join us on Wednesday, February 3, for a FREE workshop about the uses of Biomass to produce energy! Share in the fun learning about the basics of biogas production and how the Victor Valley Wastewater Reclamation Authority is using it to make their facility 100% energy neutral!!

Attendees of this fascinating workshop will learn first hand how biogas is produced from organic waste and learn about VVWRA’s “Biogas to Energy Program,” during a tour of the newly converted “Omnivore” digester.   Find out how the agency is able to produce its own clean energy using this renewable resource!  Workshop participants will receive resource tools and  standards- based curriculum activities to help students in grades K-12 learn about biogas and the environmental issues related to this important form of energy’s role in today’s society!
