Did you know that smoke from wildfires can affect your health and the environment? Smoke can hurt your eyes, irritate your respiratory system, and worsen chronic heart and lung diseases. Wildfire season is fast approaching and knowing how to protect you and your family from wildfire smoke makes you “AirAware!”
Have your students create a poster that shows how they can “protect their lungs and health from the effects of wildfire smoke” and they could win $100 and/or a new Bike! And the 12 lucky winners will be featured in the Mojave Desert Air Quality Management District’s 2018 Clean Air Calendar!
Posters must include the artist’s name, grade level, gender, mailing address, phone number, and their teacher’s name & school on back of poster (if school project.)
Entry Deadline: May 10th @ 5:00PM.
Eligible contestants must attend school in the High Desert portion of San Bernardino County or the Palo Verde Valley of Riverside County only.
One poster entry per person – each entry is automatically entered into a drawing to win a new bicycle!!
