Cement is Not Concrete!”

Come and learn the difference between cement and concrete during this workshop that will demonstrate how to engage your students in the geology of mining!  Teachers will receive a FREE curricula guide with tables listing specific minerals and rocks, their characteristics, plus lesson plans, glossaries, and a historical timeline of Portland Cement!

Workshop participants will have the chance to learn how to facilitate the popular “Concert in a Cup” activity that they can utilize with their students to engage them in the wonderful world of mining and geology.  All teachers will get to take home class sized sample of raw cement ingredients for use at their school.
